Seymour Dressing Table

The top of this dressing table is 42" long and, at its widest, 14.5" deep. It is not veneered! The legs are planed in front to follow the curve of the front and they are inlaid with sand-shaded petals. The transition blocks are hand carved. The drawer fronts are banded with Mahogany, and the middle of each drawer is Laurel Burl veneer. A Mahogany cockbead surrounds each drawer. The pulls are from Optimum Brasses in England and are sand cast copies of originals. This dressing table is based on an original by John and Thomas Seymour, Boston, ca. 1810.
