Queen Anne Wingback Chair

Upholstered wingback chair in Queen Anne style, constructed of walnut and white oak

Inspired by a chair considered a "masterpiece" in Israel Sacks' book, "Good, Better, Best, Superior, Masterpiece", this chair is made of Walnut and White Oak with pad feet. The front legs are joined to the rounded front corners of the seat rails with large vertical dovetails and the rear legs, the "posts," are of a single piece of Walnut. The client chose crewel fabric for the front and a matching blue velvet for the sides and back. The upholstery was done by Ruth's Fabric and Upholstery, which is local to me.
