During the Mt. Vernon Market Fair in 2023, a woman entered my tent and said that they wanted a large, functional sideboard that would be passed to their son as an heirloom. The piece was to celebrate their Polish, French, and English ancestry, have barley twist legs, and a large mirror above it. The top drawers also were designed specifically to hold the family's silver. After some design work, trading of ideas, research, and conversations, we settled on this design. The door panels have a Polish design carved into them, the legs feature grapevine representing their French heritage, and the Tudor Rose carved into the foot celebrates their English lineage.
