This version of a fan back Windsor chair is made of Cherry, an uncommon choice for Windsors, but I think the client made a fine choice! The seat is shaped by adze, scorp, and scraper, the spindles are all shaped by drawknife and spokeshave, and the crest rail ears are carved by hand-a truly authentic Windsor. It is finished with aniline dye, oil, and shellac.
