I like several examples of early American Tavern Tables, I like Tiger Maple, and I like making certain forms of furniture look very light while still being stable. So, I combined all of those aesthetics into a Tavern Table of my own design. This piece measures 27" high and the top has a diameter of 24". It is joined with mortise and tenon joinery and the finish is an antiqued coloring under hand rubbed shellac.
