Queen Anne Tea Table

Elegant table made of tiger maple, with cabriole legs

Made of Tiger Maple, this 36" wide by 18" deep (top) table is perfect for a hall table or for a taller side table. It is called a "Queen Anne" table because of certain distinctive traits of the Queen Anne period (early to mid 1700s). These traits include a simple, yet elegant design, and especially the cabriole legs ending in pad feet. The four rails are shaped with a beautiful scroll cut and the legs are joined to them with mortise and tenon joinery, finished off with pegs to secure the joints. It is finished with aniline dyes, glaze, shellac, and wax.
