I know that one of my clients has a special love of beautiful, unique wood. I found a flitch (that is, a set of boards cut sequentially) of Tiger Maple that I knew was beautiful and unique. When she saw the set, she agreed and said that we would find the perfect use for it.  What we decided was that it should be made into a Queen Anne Highboy inspired by one published in Israel Sack's book, "Good, Better, Best, Superior, Masterpiece." The original was made of Cherry but the many flat surfaces of the piece, I thought, would dramatically show of the figure and curl of this Tiger Maple. The highboy displays a flat top with complex crown molding, 13 drawers, 2 fan carvings, and long, slender cabriole legs.
